Producer Jud Apatow wanted to make a "weed action movie" with the feel of Thelma and Louise. Well, the weedy part is indeed here...

I am a bit afraid by the the recent series of Hollywood movies featuring characters using marijuana. For example Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, The Wackness or the upcoming Pineapple Express: it is like Hollywood is endorsing the promotion of illegal drugs.

Even if characters are mostly humorously portrayed, I believe they could shape a new trend in our society and cause a surge in drug consumption...

I hope Hollywood won't go further on this road, or we will need the intervention of legislators.

Difnitely two crazy boys! I hope that Pineapple Express is closer to what we see in this PG13 trailer than in the previous Pineapple Express R-Rated trailer. I mean I like the funny part of the movie more than its weedy side...

But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop (Rosie Perez) and the city's most dangerous drug lord (Gary Cole), he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him. And it is. Pineapple Express seems to be a nice comedy even if I disapprove the way they praise consumption of illegal drugs...
